About this Program

This summer, join us at TAB Arts Center for our "All Arts Summer Camp," where young creatives aged 8-16 are invited to embark on a month-long journey delving into the captivating realms of film and theatre. Celebrating our 9th year, our camp, located at the Shiloh Baptist Church Community Center in Greensboro, NC, distinguishes itself by providing one of the longest continuous arts education experiences. This summer participants will immerse themselves in an extensive exploration of the performing arts.

What Campers will Learn

Theatre Group (Ages 8-11)

Young actors focus on acting techniques, stage presence, voice modulation, and character development

as they bring stories to life on stage. Through guided instruction, they build confidence and storytelling abilities essential for live performances.

Film Group (Ages 12-16)

Aspiring filmmakers explore both acting and production, gaining hands-on experience in scriptwriting, directing, and camera work. They take part in the creative process, producing their own short films while refining their on-screen performance skills.

Stagecraft & Production

Both groups engage in set design, costume creation, and prop-making, gaining a deeper appreciation for the behind-the-scenes artistry that enhances their performances. This hands-on experience allows campers to contribute to the visual storytelling process.

Collaboration & Creativity

Campers work together to develop their productions from start to finish, fostering teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while bringing their artistic visions to life in a supportive and engaging environment.

Why Our Camp Stands Out

Affordability: Priced at just $50 a week OR a one-time fee of $200, our camp presents an affordable option for a full month of engaging, educational fun in the arts. This exceptional value underscores our commitment to making the arts accessible to all.

Extended Engagement: Unlike typical week-long camps, TAB offers a full month of immersive learning. This extended time allows for a deeper understanding and more hands-on experience in film and theatre production.

Final Performance & Film: The camp culminates in a grand finale where participants get to showcase their talents in a live performance. Additionally, they will take part in creating a film that will be proudly displayed on YouTube, giving them a real taste of production and performance glory.

Focused Creativity: Our curriculum is centered around film and theatre, enriched with additional art activities that contribute to the stage setting and overall production. It’s a holistic approach to the arts, fostering a broad skill set.

Proven Success: Now in its 9th year, our camp has a long history of inspiring young artists and providing a nurturing environment for them to grow and express themselves. Our continued success is a testament to the quality and passion behind our programming.
